
Director
Pam brings a background in public service, finance and facilitation to her position of Director of Platte County Economic Development. She served as State Agriculture Director for fomer U.S. Senator Chuck Hagel of Nebraska, Senior Accountant for Community Action Partnership of Western Nebraska, and Executive Director of the Center for Conflict Resolution. Pam was the Steering Committee Treasurer for the Lakota Lutheran Center for seven years and worked to establish the Sower's Foundation, a grassroots community organization that developed education, agriculture and health care partnerships in Afghanistan. Pam received her undergraduate degree in Economics from Iowa State University. Pam's husband, Matt, teaches middle and high school vocal music for Platte County School District #1. They moved to Wheatland from Scottsbluff/Gering, Nebraska, in 2011. Together Pam and Matt have six children.

Executive Assistant
Daphanie Taylor has been the Executive Assistant at Platte County Economic Development since February 2011. Daphanie's position is part time and you will find her in our office at 1560 Johnston Street on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Daphanie was born in McMinniville, TN but was raised in Battle Creek, MI. She and her husband Larry along with their son Nicholas moved to Wheatland in 1993 and has called Wheatland their home ever since. Daphanie graduated from Harper Creek High School in Battle Creek and holds an Associates Degree in Applied Science from Kellogg Community College. She worked as a Medical Laboratory Technician in Michigan before moving to Wheatland. After the move, Daphanie homeschooled Nicholas through graduation and then re-entered the workforce. Since that time she has done many things with the most recent being a Rehab Technician with North Platte Physical Therapy. Daphanie is very excited about the opportunities ahead of her with Platte County Economic Development.
